TITLE

Low-level and High-level programming experience for quantum computing 低階與高階量子程式編譯

ABSTRACT

Quantum computing technology is progressing quickly, but it’s still uncertain which architecture will come out on top. Each type of quantum computer needs its own way of handling quantum logic, making it difficult to create a programming experience that works across all types of hardware while still making the most of each system’s unique features.

In this talk, we’ll look at the world of quantum programming from two viewpoints: first, the higher-level experience for applications like solving large optimization problems, and second, the lower-level experience, such as creating control pulses that direct qubits to perform quantum instructions and control logic. A programming suite that can express both levels of quantum programs while being hardware agnostic enables researchers to work across different platforms and quantum hardware easily. We will see how a well-suited programming suite speeds up the development of quantum algorithms, opening up opportunities for faster innovation across various types of quantum hardware.
