TITLE |
Why photon counting is great: Applications and imaging and communications |
ABSTRACT |
This talk will review several scenarios where the photon counting technique allows one to exceed performance of conventional protocols. Examples include superresolution imaging by spatial mode demultiplexing, efficient optical communication in the photon-starved regime, and quantum fingerprinting with phase-modulated coherent optical signals. |
